Welcome to the website of The Vale of Glamorgan Ensemble, a chamber orchestra consisting of members of the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera.

Based in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales, the Ensemble has the aim of providing music of the highest quality, whatever the occasion. From baroque candlelit concerts to premieres of contemporary concertos, the Ensemble is flexible and flamboyant whether playing as a small chamber group or full string orchestra.

The Ensemble has worked with Wales' top dance company, DIVERSIONS, and is a regular visitor at the Ewenny Festival. It has performed two world premieres including a Suite for Strings dedicated to it.
